June 2019 all topic

Hello all,

Welcome to the 6th month of the year. June fools day today. Why not April has it's own fools day, so I figure it is about time June got one too.

<Snort>. Just got home from the monthly provisions run. Costco and The Walmart Super Center we're not too bad. Someone turned up the thermostat here to OMG on the way to YGBFKM!

We topped out at not quite 70 today, so I am not complaining. It was nice and sunny with a very gentle ocean breeze. Almost perfect for me, as I start whimpering at around 85, and implode when it hits triple digits.

Well, tomorrow morning is a class to take, followed by going to my folks and using my PHD (Post Hole Digger/ID10t Sticks). We will see how it goes.

Well, my trip up into the mountains wasn't that good. My sleeping gear got soaked and I didn't sleep well.
Attendance was off, so I only cooked 40 of the 60 lbs. of ribs. Cooked up the other 20 lbs. after I got the truck unloaded back home.
I still have other things to clean up.

Still planning on competing again in the Back 40 Ribs Cook-Off, July 27th, 100 Coggins Dr., Pleasant Hill.
If you want to taste-test some ribs, show up around 3:30-4:00. Ribs are supposed to be submitted to the Judges at 4:00, after that, we'll be passing out samples until the winners are announced.

Here in The City, it never gets too hot or cold. Actually, we had wind. Blew my baseball cap off my head.

That is too bad about the not so good mountain trip. Hopefully the next event will go better.

He looks healthy. I haven't seen many leopard-spotted ones around here.
