Shooter was the parts counter guy. He got fired. Went back to shoot his boss.

There's more to the story than what the TV is reporting. It's probably none of my business and the victims deserve privacy.

Nobody should be killed just because they fire an employee. The shooter obviously had a screw loose.

You never know what personal hell someone might be going through. It's too bad we don't seem to have the kind of society that allows people to express their frustrations a different (less violent) way.

I must be monumentally naive. But being terminated from employment is one of the most stressful situations. Any loss of income creates personal hell. Right up there with sexual betrayal.

I have been fired before, so I am well aware of the problems it presents. However, shooting the person who fired me has never entered my mind. I am sure the person who was fired was fired for a reason. And he knew the reason before he got fired.

That's a bummer to hear that.

There used to be a guy here where I work that just seemed on edge. He had sense retired, thankfully.

I always wondered what he would do if he got fired, and again thankfully he retired before he got fired.

It turns out the shooter was a guy I'd seen in there at least five times. Each time I'd go to the parts counter he would be sitting at his desk about 10 feet back from the counter. He would never look up to make eye contact and actually have to do his job. Every time someone else would have to come over and help me. It's no surprise they fired him.

My buddy Declan was right there about 15 feet away when it went down.
