In the next day or so I'll be feeding my truck its' first additive ...
I have 299 miles remaining on my DEF countdown and 127 miles until the diesel runs out.

Mileage is about 3400, mostly pulling.

I only use cetane from Ford. I don't trust anything I use in the fuel system because it's so expensive to fix.

I feel the same, even knowing that pm22a is formulated and bottled by sta-bil.

How many oz per tank do you dump in? According to the label, only 1 oz is needed for treatment. That's crazy.

Yes 1 oz per 20 gallons is minimum. I use 2 oz per 20 gallons for some extra cetane and lubricity.

Bingo! Nobody has to use them and you don't have to wash your truck either.

I get it from here as the shipping is only $4.75 Discount Opti-Lube Shipping
I suggest getting the 5 gallon kit for the first order. I comes with a pump and two smaller bottles. Be sure to click the drop down for order options.
Edit: Oops! Looks like shipping has gone up tp $8.

You mean the one gallon kit not 5 gallons.

BTW I don't see Optilube Summer on that site

There have been changes to the page.and it took a while to even find out how to order. Then, you're right, Summer Plus does not show up. I've sent an email asking WTF and we'll see. I've been getting my Summer Plus there for 4 years. It also used to be the $4.75 shipping was for 1 gallon, but they've bumped that to 5 gallons. I guess I will be looking for another source. I haven't checked the OL site yet.
Okay, you can order direct from OL at Opti-Lube
You can compare with the Amazon pricing and shipping.

OL is the company selling on Amazon as well- at least that's who I bought from. I bought through Amazon because they already have my credit card info. No use giving it to OL directly if I don't have too

Has anyone compared the dosage cost for PM-22 versus Optilube? I've been buying my PM-22 at the dealer for less than I could get it online.

I get my PM-22 from dieselfiltersonline.com ever since Amazon raised their prices. 1 case of 12 bottles is $113.51 shipped. That's 240oz. / $113.51 = .47 an ounce. X 4oz per 25 gallons of fuel = $1.88 per tank or fill-up or $.075 cents per gallon of treated fuel.

Opti-Lube Summer+ is about $0.90 per ounce. Premium treatment is one ounce to ten gallons of diesel (minimum is one to twenty, but I'm using premium for this post). I usually put in about forty gallons when I fill up. $3.60 per tank.

A quart of Opti-Lube is $28.56 on Amazon.
$28.56 / 32 = $0.8925 per ounce
Four ounces x $0.90 = $3.60 per tank.

PM-22a improves Cetane by 2.
Opti-Lube Summer+ improves Cetane by 5 to 7.

For about double the money, there is more than double the Cetane improvement. I may be switching to Opti-Lube when I've used up my inventory of PM-22a.
