Was thinking about getting a place in Florida to escape harsh winters up here now that I'm at retirement age. Thinking maybe I should stay put and invest in more ammunition. Stories are unbelievable!

Come on down. There are still safe areas. Just stay away from the natives with the really big space between the eyes and general poor hygiene and the northerners.
People are nuts! Anywhere, just need to find a place with fewest people to deal with. These stories are crazy.
Fewer people and plenty of real estate between you and next door dude makes a good neighbor.

I can't do that, have nothing at all against Canada except its WAY to far north!! I hate the cold!!
You can build a house cheap on a frozen lake 😂😂😂😂😂. The cold sucks. Taxes are way worse (terrible for working age, great for retirements age) but lots of cheap land in the right areas.
On topic. I love Florida headlines. I run across a few and will be posting in this thread the next time.

what part do you live in? How far north? I've only been to Ontario once and Niagara area.

Saskatchewan. Canadian prairies. 100miles north of the border. The Montana - North Dakota border is straight south of me. Our entire province has less than 1 million. Ontario and Quebec are the highest populated provinces.
