So while I am SLOWLY preparing to sell War Dog, and transfer the goodies over to Captain Tripps, I am also buying some cool s^!* and normal upgrades for the Captain.
1. bought a rear wing dillio that apparently was a dealer option piece, still in the Ford box (pics to come, just giving updates ATM)
2. bought some used AMP research powersteps (pics to come)
3. bought some mildly aggressive lugs
4. bought some upgraded headlights from Spyder
5. bought some upgraded(?) fog lights from Spyder
6. finally found some 2nd row buckets to put in
7. and lastly, switched over the "safari" rack from War Dog to Captain Trips.
Are you referring to the oh so rare rear air deflector?
If so, please document from the moment you open the box, and post the hopefully included install instructions. I had to install mine completely freehand. I'd love to know what the OE packaged came with and the install method.

Best picture I could get at the moment.
I'll update later, early spring, once I'm ready to get all the stuff on the truck.
Now that I got the rack switched from War Dog to Captain Tripps, time to update the console for my lighting switches. But it is negative "f this" outside, plus gotta find a front console from a navigator.
But the heavy work is done. Best pic I could get of the two tanks side by side.
Zeibart was the company of choice.
I had options in the area, but none were not rated very well locally.
Except for the Z, 5 stars. I'll let you all know how it holds up.

I’m not up on what Ziebart is using these days.
Hard to tell from the pics. But it looks similar to the Lanolin based black fluid film or the the wool wax.
Do you have to do that every year?

In talking to the rep, I would come in every year for a simple touch up.

That is the key to any type of undercoating product, you have to maintain it. If water gets under the undercoating from a rock chip and is allowed to continue to get wet it will rust in no time. I had to replace my rear axle this summer because it was undercoating and apparently never touched up so it rusted under the undercoating to the point that I could chisel 1/4" chunks of rust off.

That's great information to share, and scary at the same time. I will be sure to have this touched up annually for sure.

Thats the nice thing about the lanolin type products like fluid film.
They don’t create pockets like the old hard tar like undercoating products.
The old ziebart/rusty jones stuff would let salt, etc get under it and create a big mess.
It looks like the new ziebart stuff wardog had sprayed is non hardening.
The only down side I have seen with the fluid film is that it will get washed off in hi spray areas. The wool wax brand is thicker and works better in wheel wells, etc. But that’s why you touch it up after every season.

Well I think Captain Tripps will be a good test study of the new zeibart (new to me anyway) product. Planning on many road trips, as well as some overlanding this year. Will be sure to note anything that pops up for those that want to know.

I imagine it will work fine.
Let us know how it lasts after running through the slop on the roads and trails.
