So I have a 2015 Ford f150 and my bluetooth stopped working. It said I needed to update my sync (did that) and then I have to report it. When i went to report and send the file the file is not on my memory stick. But the update was done on the truck! Its driving me crazy and I called sync troubleshoot and they dont understand my problem.
Most of the folks who know about this stuff are probably hanging out in the "Audio & Video Systems, Navigation, Satellite Radio & Mobile Electronics" forum and not the "Site Announcements" forum. You might want to post your issue there to get some answers flowing.
Your Bluetooth stopped working out of the blue? Did you try removing your phone from Sync's bluetooth setup (and Sync from your Phone's Bluetooth) and then pair it again?
If that doesn't work, disconnect the battery (under the hood) for 30 minutes, this will reset the Sync system. If this still doesn't work, a "Master Reset" might be necessary, but this will wipe all Sync settings.
Just bought a 2015 Ford Escape and the Bluetooth doesn't work at all. I've checked the fuse, did a master reset, disconnected the battery (10mins) and did a system update but no device sees the vehicle and the vehicle doesn't see any Bluetooth device (Galaxy S7, S9, Apple 8+, Apple watch, Galaxy Watch).
I went into diagnostic mode on the Sync, then to APIM and into config status and it shows Bluetooth as off even though it is on in the main menu areas (I've turn it off and on several times).
Scratching my head if I can do anything else or if I need to look at an APIM replacement.

Check with your local dealer - when I had my 2013 Taurus, I got a letter saying that the Sync 2 warranty had been extended to 5 years, unlimited mileage. Depending on when your Escape was bought new, it might still be covered if it was ever covered in the first place.
That being said, maybe try this: Turn Bluetooth off, disconnect the battery again for a half hour, then go back in and turn it on, and see if it starts working.
Thanks for the info on the sync extended warranty (fingers crossed). I tried your suggestion and still no go but I got an appointment on Thursday at the ford dealership I bought the Escape from and I'll post an update after they look at it.
****Update****
Dealer confirmed the APIM is bad and needs replaced ~$1,100 and that my 2015 wasn't covered by the extended Sync warranty. The dealership knew I just bought the Escape and said they don't check the Bluetooth just that the Sync system is working but they are going to replace for free!!! Not sure if I can post the Ford dealership name that is fixing the issue, but they were great during the sale and with this service, I know I'll be back.
