Do you see the blue line with User CP, Albums, FAQ? See the SEARCH on that line?
It has a drop down search menu arrow, go to the "Advanced Search" option, top left side (search block) type in there what you are looking for and then go to the lower right column and highlight 73-79 forum. Select it and then you will have a detailed search just in the 73-79 forums.

And sounds like you already figured our how to "search just this thread".
LOL.... see there... I told you that you were gonna do it.... "come on Mike.... you dumb a$$..." LOL....

OH NO WAY, NO HOW AM I DA MAN. That part number exchange stuff is right off the truckerac web site. I only copy and pasted. And that kind of interchange knowledge is Number Dummy's dept. 100%. But is it wrong or will not fit or is sold out, then all my fault.100% ROTFFLMAO

Neither did I until I Googled your posted part # and truckerac came up. Then I put it in the truckerac search bar for a 75 F100 for the OP. Or hit Heater Core in the L/H drop down and 75 F100 in the R/H drop down and BAM.

Heater core.

I have an alluminum one installed now. Seems to work just fine. I shall see once I have put a few years on it. I also have my old one which was just starting to leak a little. As far as my time in replacing a core. It takes about an hour start to finish. My old trucks are well worth any time I put in them.

I was able to find a brass and copper one. Still made in Mexico, but better than China (I think).

Put in in last night and worked fine today.

Also was able to install a CURT Trailer Hitch today. Still need to do the wiring now.

Hey Pat....
Did your core come from Dennis Carpenter?
(Or another source?)

Hey Mike,

I ended up obtaining one from a radiator shop near me. I probably paid too much, but being in a smaller town I would have had to drive 100 mile round trip to save 40.00, so I just ended up purchasing it from them.

I do like dealing with Dennis Carpenter, but when going to the website, the one in the pic was definitely not the correct heater core. I called direct and spoke to a gentleman who pointed out that he did have the correct one. Unfortunately, he couldn't say for sure if it was copper and brass, or an aluminum replacement, and he also couldn't tell me where it was manufactured. Again, I prefer to go through Dennis Carpenter, but this one item just didn't work out for me.
