Has anybody with an older 6.7L switched to LED headlights? There are so many out there, just wondering if someone can recomend a good way to go. Thanks!

Do a search, there's a huge thread on the subject.

What do you consider older. Would help if you gave your vehicles info. I have a 2015 and used the Lightening Dark head light bulbs and am quite satisfied with them.
Sorry, should have included that. I have a 2012 F350 Lariat 6.7L. Seems like the Beamtech lights are popular too. I just read a lot of different reviews saying that guys had fit troubles. I'll check out the Lightening. Thank you
If you need additional lumens to light up dark roads. Check out Life Time LEDs headlights and fog lamps.
The low beams are 3200 lumens and the high beams are 3600 lumens. In the boondocks or off road, they light up everything so no critter/cattle surprise.
If you need fog lamps, the #LLL9006-NF1 put out about 1900Lumens + there is an additional hookup to make a part of them DLRs (daytime running lights), which might lower your insurance rates. Have to show insurance co agent you have that on your 2012.
One other thing to consider is to make sure the K temp range is above the warm white which has a yellow component in it or it is not too high past ~ 4200K which has a blue tint in it. I am guessing your lights are the "less than adequate" Ford original "candles" they sourced from the worst supplier on the market so you are wanting something that will actually show true color while projecting at a decent distance down the street.
On the blue tint, my Audi HIDs have a subtle blue tint that I'm sure pleases someone but the they don't project as well as I need them to at distance. Audi sourced the the lights from a good manufacturer & they won't burn out either (I try not to change out stuff that is adequate for what I need). The warm whites, in my experience don't project well and don't give the true color of the object it lights up. Unfortunately, what it says in the description & what it actually is might differ.
Go with a trusted someone's description who has actually used or is using the bulb.
i swapped my lights for super nova 4.0. they have a raw lumen rating of 3600 lumens per bulb. so far i like them. ill see how well they hold up over time.
Right on guys, thanks! I do have the stock bulbs in my truck. My wife has a '18 Subaru and her headlights are incredible, and she has auto brights which I've never seen before, very cool. After driving her car my truck feels like all I have is foglights. I put all new Recon lights front and back on my old F150, cost me a fortune and I hated them, I always had some kind of problem. The light was 5000k or more and very blue, I started out with H1's and then upgraded again to HID (because LED'S wouldn't fit in that particular housing), and even that was a disappointment. The street signs always lit right up but it was hard to see everything else. I'll never mess with the light housings on a vehicle again, just the bulbs. I'm going to look into y'alls recommendations now. Thanks again!
They currently don't have a H13/9008 bulb for the 11 to 16's but just posting this for FYI. When I emailed them about the H13 bulb, this was the reply:
David,
I completely understand your frustration, I have a 06' Wrangler and am in the same situation. Unfortunately, we have been unable to replicate a dual filament bulb. The H13 has one filament for low and then another that turns on along side the low beam filament to create high beam effect. Our SL1 is specifically designed to mimic the stock halogen beam pattern and always runs at full brightness. That being said, we have been unable to add extra LEDs to our current design for the high beam function, while still retaining the precise beam pattern our SL1 is known for. We do plan on coming out with something like this in the future, but currently do not have an ETA.
