does my axle have a 2nd snap ring?
i'm in the precess of pulling my axle shafts to replace the u joints. i have the hub bodies off, most of the guts out, but now i;m stuck. the manual says "remove the second snap ring, if so equipped". how do i know if i have a 2nd one? the main portion of the hub assembly where the bolts thread into won't come out. i'm assuming it has another one. if it does, where is it? i can't see it. "edit" it's a 94 f150 xl. 300 6, mazda 5 speed. manual hubs.

This is on a dana44 solid axle, so I don't know if it'll help, but it might.
I think there's one snap ring on the center of the shaft that works like a key ring. It looks like a thin washer.
The other might be in a groove around the inside of the hub.
