Order status accuracy?

So my ford tracker says my trucks estimated delivery date is tomorrow but no solid info on if it has shipped from the plant or anything. Just says in transit. I tried checking my vin on palsapp but comes back null and pending. Anyone have any info on this or another place I can track? Thanks

You’ll find lots of examples in this thread, but the short version is it’s better than nothing but far from accurate. Most people tend to get their trucks within 1-2 weeks of the date on the Ford site, but some experience some pretty bad delays of 4+ weeks and the delivery date just keeps extending out.

Mine has showed In Transit since last Tuesday, and the expected delivery date has changed from 5/28 to 5/25 and now to 5/26 during the past week. Through all of that, it shows the same Pending and Null on palsapp that yours does...so I have no clue what to expect at this point.

COTUS indicated my truck was to be delivered on the 10th, but now it says “in 4 days” which would make that the 18th. So yes, there is some inaccuracy going on. Fortunately ( or unfortunately) for me, I’m still 6 weeks out from being able to go pick it up. It also says awaiting shipment, but the dealer tracked it being on a rail car two weeks ago so I know it’s enroute somewhere in the US.

Update: Overnight COTUS changed from “in 4 days” to delivered. Hopefully the dealer will send me a pic or two.

Like what was said above, it’s better than nothing, but far from accurate.

When you say COTUS, do you mean shop.ford.com, or did they bring back the old COTUS site?
