So I bought the MX4 and installed on Saturday. Pretty simple install (if i think its simple its simple lol) Anyways after finishing it up i was doing some final fitment adjustments and just couldn’t get the passenger side by the tail gate flush. So I double checked everything and nothing was glaring. So I decided to measure the cover itself and unbelievably the drivers side of the bed cover is 81.25” long and the passenger side is 81.75” long!!! So there is no way to get it squared up.
Also driving to work on Sunday I noticed that the panel closest to the cab was flexing going down the road anywhere from 50mph and up. WTF is going on?
So i am trying to decide what to do. I have sent an email to the manufacturer and the website that i have purchased from. I sent that off last night but haven’t heard anything back yet. Thoughts??? Anyone have any issues or experience with Bakflip covers?
I have not had to deal with customer service at Bak, but I have read a couple of other posts where the service is outstanding. One guy posted that they sent him a completely new unit, and told him to destroy his current one rather than ship it back. I would keep trying, maybe even call Bak customer service. I believe they will treat you right.

My plan is to give them a call tomorrow if I haven’t gotten a response back by noon.
I have the MX4. The joints between the panels are rubber, so I'm not surprised there is 1/2" play between the two sides. That's 1/4" each for driver and passenger. You shouldn't see any panel flex though, so it seems to me it's not installed quite right.
That being said, mine leaks like a sieve, whereas it used to be fairly dry.

Any ideas on where it might not be installed properly? It’s just some clamps to buckle the side rails on and the becover locks into the that. Any leads on where to start would be appreciated.

Maybe try to loosen the two front panel bolts and wiggle it around.
Loosen bolts a little.
Unfold the top.
Shift the top around to where it's square with the bed.
Gently fold it back on itself to reach the front bolts, or climb under the cover with it still down.
Don't overtighten obviously, as it'll crease the panel.

I called Bak and they basically said the same thing you did about repositioning and making sure everything is installed properly. I did it last night so i will see if it helped at all. I doubt it will though because i cant get it square since the cover is not the same length from side to side. He also said if i have any holes in my bed that i need to make sure they are filled up with a plug or something. Does that make sense?
Holes in a bed will lead to increased negative pressure under the cover, which is why you’re seeing the ‘sucked In’ look. It’s aerodynamic properties at play.
