5.4L common problems
Hey Y'all,
I'm a new user to the forum, just wanted to gain some knowledge about my current engine platform (5.4L) and the 5.0L since I will be looking to buy a new truck in the future.
Just a little background about my truck,
2007 F150 fx4 flareside
105,xxx on the clock
Has an air raid jr intake set up, true dual exhaust (magnaflow) 2.5 in leveling kit and 35s ironman M/T
I have changed all spark plugs and engine coils probably done around 92k not exactly sure of the timing. I have the engine oil changed regularly around 3-5k and tires rotated I do try my best to make sure I am taking care of the truck.
I guess my question is, should there be anything else I should keep an eye on or do to increase longevity?
From a performance standpoint, I do have a tuner but I haven't set it up since im not sure if I want 5star to tune the truck which would be more of a custom tune(?) Or have the boxed tune placed.
Any kind of input and experiences y'all have encountered would be greatly appreciated.

The only other suggestion might be to change all the fluids...Anti freeze , transmission, axle gear oil, brake fluid, all of it. you would not necessarily need to do it all at once. Most can be done by yourself, but, flushing the brake system you might want to take to your favorite shop.
Don't for get about the fuel filter.
As for the canned tune or the custom tune. Kinda depends on what your plans are for it?? but considering that you have some bigger tires a custom tune might be better so if you add / change other things in the future that can change or adapt for those changes. Canned tunes can not take in account for changes as well.
