PERIOD.
You have to be kidding.

How would i pass my annual emissions test ?

in the last 3 years I have been stopped twice by DEP enforcement which included physical inspection by them of my emissions system. It’s a 700 dollar fine if the system is not there and your vehicle gets impounded until you arrange repairs.

I don't see your state in your sig. Sounds oppressive. Here in TX we don't have that issue, and we have carry rights. We set aside the DPF etc for any future need. The DEF will gel in the tank so that part will need to be replaced with a new tank. fyi

My point exactly. Some of us are surrounded by rules and regulations.

i had to put a 3000 dollar camper top on my truck. With out the camper top , commercial plates would be mandatory. With commercial plates, can’t park in residential areas not even your own driveway.

aside from things like that, if a half a teaspoon of water gets into Your fuel system that will knock out your fuel pump and injectors resulting in a 10k plus repair bill. Rules and regulations for warranty being valid precludes tampering with the vehicle for 8yrs/125k miles.

So yes, much oppression involved.

Love the rant, are you Dennis Miller? You forgot one point, or maybe you didn't know. I didn't until my master tech friend told me. One part of the Scorpion 6.7 takes in more EGR heat than the rest, and it wears out faster. I think it's an intake valve.

Hahaha! Thank you but No, no i am not Dennis Miller.

i could go on for hour about the negatives of emissions equipment and the extensions of the environmental impacts from the production to transportation of the equipment and the production of the equipment on and on and on. Have to build more trucks to ship the def and peoples cars who drive to the DEF production plants. Its a giant snowball for the single purpose of increasing cost of ownership in a socialistIc cycle of keeping financial thumbs on US consumers of diesel trucks and the products shipped via diesel power. AKA the entire country. Disgusts me.

Chuck, Nancy, & Barry’s mouths never open about chinas massive carbon footprint and trash islands they create that we clean up.

Sorry for taking this off topic. I get a little heated about this stupid emission BS.

That sounds like an HOA restriction. Seriously, do you want to even live in a subdivision once red flag laws say your neighbor can have the SWAT team come disarm a supposedly "dangerous" person? We escaped our HOA last year, leased that house out, it pays for itself now and we pocket the appreciation, but we're living in the country. We have exactly two neighbors, both drive pickups and are country folks who hunt.

Give it some thought. This kind of freedom is associated with less socialist states, and that includes what you do to your own pickup.

Just a little correction on your calcs, Mike. There are 3.8 litres in a US gallon, and 4.5 litres in a Canadian (Imperial) gallon.

Yep, 3.785 in a US gallon, and 4.546 in a UK gallon. Canadians use that too? OK, eh?
