So I thought that I would start a new thread about this subject instead of complicating the Forscan thread. So added the auto regen box to my truck and it is set on Auto Regen. So today while driving the DPF filter went from 95% to full. I thought at some point the auto regen would kick in. While driving I kept looking at my Edge CTS2 at the EGT 4 gauge and it never increased. Also the DPF status stayed at off on the gauge. So I got home did a fuel filter swap, went to the fuel station and fueled up and added some PM22A and drove home. Only about 2 miles from the gas station. Got home and I held the OK button and put it into the manual regen mode. After about 10 minutes of this I bumped the brake and it shut off and I could not restart. Also my CTS2 for the regen status remained off even though I know it was working cause the EGTs climbed to over 1000.
So I tried using my CTS2 to do a manual regen and it started then stopped. I tried again and same thing. So the questions I have are: When the truck is in Auto regen mode when should it kick in while driving? Why is the manual regen on the CTS2 starting then stopping? Is the DPF load on a CTS2 supposed to match the DPF filter % screen on my truck? Is anyone using a CTS2 in their truck and seen what the regen status goes to while in regen?
My CTS2 shows regen status as on . Typically the CTS2 DPT soot load does not match exhaust filter status . It seems to be hit or miss . Today the CTS2 shows 58% and the exhaust filter status shows 80% .

yeah mine was way off. Have you ever done a manual regen using the cts? And off topic but do you have a pic of how you mounted your cts2?
The auto regen wont necessarily start immediately upon reaching full, it can take several minutes or more. Why? Hard to say exactly, I know there are several other criteria that must also be met before it will start.
I don't use the DPF % on my CTS, I watch the soot load gpl instead. Full is 8.38. Most of the time it'll start shortly after reaching 8.38, but I've seen it wait until darn near 8.60 before

Yeahs that’s usually what I watch also. It got up to 8.54 I believe. Where did you mount your cts? No one makes a mount for the A pillar.

Yes , I did a manual regen with the cts shortly after I updated it . Worked basically the same as the manual regen on the truck . My cts is mounted with the provided suction cup in the same place as the pic screwy posted above .
