I'm glad I went with three foot antennas instead of four footers. I think they look great-

I have a cobra 28LTD with a 102 inch (or 8.5ft) whip antenna at the end of my bed that can bow to the cab of the truck, like those old military hummers. I have mine mounted on the plate for the fuses, and it doesn't get in the way of the clutch, brake, or gas.

I wasn't really thrilled with the fitment of the stake pocket mounts, so I changed things up a bit. I bought a tool box off of Craigslist and mounted the antennas to it with some 3 way mirror mounts I got at a Flying J truck stop. I'm much happier with this setup than the stake pocket setup.
