Because i want no questions if my oil into coolant continues, i want to know that area is as good as i can make it, so i will look elsewhere for the leak
Nice work man. Any update? You should be able to find the coolant flush procedure that Diesel Tech Ron (RIP) did on Youtube when oil gets into the coolant. I think he uses Cascade dish soap. do NOT use Dawn....you'll never get it out.
Well, i got the oil, and water added, the rear coolant drain plug is frozen. I had figured swapping this would drain it sufficiently. I ran it long enough to open the thermostat, added more water. Still have light brown chocolate milk in the degas bottle. I have a cold oil level, so my next step will be to run it a day, and see if the oil drops on the stick. If it doesn't, then I'll get the coolant deep cleaned, if it does, then I'm back to hunting the source. No smoke on start up, everything is stock. Not sure if there's anywhere beyond injectors, cups, and head gasket, for oil crossing into coolant
