IDS not reading PCM

IDS not reading PCM

Trying to get v86 to work. The software seems to start fine and lights light up on the VCM II but when I goto connect to the truck it says it won't read the PCM. Should it read at this point or is it normal to manually enter the PCM number?

It should read automatically. You sure you are getting power to your ODB port? It's not all the uncommon for the fuse to blow.

In the upper right hand corner of IDS do you see two arrows
one pointing right and the other to the left and they are green?
Do they change from green or go away?

Thought I'd update this after finally getting the chance to look at the software again.

Turns out it was simply a matter of user error... I need to select "all others" instead of Titan VCM II. Not sure why I clicked on that anyways...

I was able to run an injector test and did a compression test as well, everything works great. Thanks Yahiko!

Good to hear.
The green arrows up in the corner tell you that the PC running IDS is talking to the VCM2.

I really need to take some time and make a user video.
