Window help
I have a 1989 coachman camper on a e250 body, when I bought the vehicle the windows worked just fine the day it got delivered the windows stopped working. I would just check the fuse but also the van starts to run rough and stalls if I keep hitting the switch. What could be the cause of the issue? The power locks work just fine only the window switch causes issue and the idling issue only happens on the driver side not on the passenger side. Please help!

Just a guess but maybe there is short in the window motor that is having an effect on the charging system/battery? Pull door panel and disconnect the motor and see what happens. I know nothing should as it is disconnected but will be an indication maybe of a short in the system/failed motor. does the passenger side still work ok?

@hank thanks I will test it tomorrow it seems it may be the 30 year old fuse it's the metal box type played around with it and it worked for a moment then died again both sides do not work but after playing with the fuse only the driver side worked for a second. I found a replacement fuse I'm going to see if it was the fuse all along but will also unplug the motor to test if that is the issue but with the fuse removed the van was running a bit better. Thanks for the input!
