I recently noticed a slight leak under my F-250 6.2 Platinum. Not a bad leak, more like a weeping-type of leak. It appears to be coming from the top of the area right where the transmission and transfer case join. Wondering if anyone has had anything similar and what was cause, if so. It's not bad by any means, but I'm getting it look at first of next week before it becomes a bigger issue.
I had this with about 10,000 on my '17 6.2 SC SB 4x4. Dealer replaced a seal between transmission and transfer case. The fluid dripping off of the leak on to the exhaust and vaporising/smoking is what brought my attention to it.

That’s the place. Dropping it off tomorrow. Hope they can get to it this week. How long should I expect?

It depends on how backed up the dealer is with other repairs. But to consider a proper diagnosis and an available tech along with the part in stock............two hours, tops. But we all know it won't go that way, lol.
They took the truck back this morning, cleaned everything up and verified the leak. They tightened some bolts and sent the truck on it's way. I'd imagine the pan bolts and transfer case to transmission bolts. Everything has been clean so far. They told me keep an eye on it and to bring it back if I notice the leak has returned.
Well, the leak returned. All signs that I can see point to a seal that slowly leaks when run cold. On a longer trip where everything gets up to temp, there is no noticeable leak. However, on short trips, it drips. They are going to check it again next week. They've been great to work with.
They replaced the transmission pan gasket today. Hope that was the fix! Have a camping trip coming up, so it'd be tight to get it back in before then if the leak returns.
