Thought I remembered reading about new trucks leaking fluids, but I couldn't remember what was leaking and where. I did a quick search and couldn't find information in regards to the transfer case leaking. I just picked up my 2005 F-250 4X4 on Wednesday and put a few hundred miles on it, and this morning a looked underneath it and see that it's leaking (just a couple of drops) red fluid from around the transfer case. Has anyone else experienced this ? I'lll take it in to be looked at, however, I'm curious if this has happened to anyone else.
Other than the minor leak, I LOVE this truck. All the good things everyone here has said about are true (not like I every doubted anyone ).
Probably didn't seal the two case halfs well enough..Can you see where the leak is originating from? Case, seal, tail shaft or yoke areas ect... This T-case has been used for alot of units that we use and haven't had much problem leaking unless provoked!! Rocks ect..
Maybe someone else here has had issues, but our fleet has been pretty dry..
