Hello all, been out of circulation for a while. I found this 1970 SB online and could not pass it up.

Nice find!

I'm guessing that bed came off a pre-70 truck since the bump goes all the way to the end of the bed. No side reflectors at all like a 67, but obviously something whoever had it before might have changed.

Are the rear reflectors under the tail lights recessed into the bed? Never seen any that looked like that. Looks a lot cleaner than the original.

My guess, red stickers.

I like the shade of blue!

Nice looking truck.
What does it have for go power?
Going to show my age. If the blue was on the bottom white on top with the red stripe it would be a US mail truck LOL

that truck is slick. if it was mine i would be thinking about putting a chrome bumper on the front. imo. it would just make the truck that much better looking.

Engine and bumper and bed

To chirkware; the bed was modified deleting the reflectors and yes in back are dot type reflector stickers.
FuzzFace2; the engine and trans are out of a 92 F150 302 efi and E40D. The diff is out of the same truck 8.8/3:73 ratio. Peg leg.
lilorbie; the front bumper was shortened 4" with the center plate indentation removed. I have plans to finish the metal work and chrome.

I modified my front & rear bumpers on my 81 F100 Flareside but don't have the $$ to get them chromed so going to look into getting them wrapped in Chrome. If they can't be wrapped then I will have to pick a color and paint then.
I did have an air filter lid powder coated chrome. It's ok for what I was looking for, unpolished chrome, but it is no way near chrome plating.
Other than being tuff it looks a little better than silver spray paint.
