Well.. I thought I had scored the correct chrome trim for the right door on my 68, $30. from the private dismantler guy, turns out its different. He says my chrome is earlier late 67 early 68, what I bought is flattish, what I need has more of a bump. Any ideas?

The serial number is the last 6 digits of the VIN
There are upper and lower body side mouldings, the following pertains to the upper.
All 1967, 1968 Custom Cab/Ranger before serial number C56,001: Upper body side mouldings are 1 1/4" wide.
1968 Custom Cab/Ranger from serial number C56,001, 1969 Custom Cab/Ranger, 1970/72 Sport Custom: Upper body side mouldings are 1 1/2" wide.
So the upper door moulding is either C7TZ-8120938-A (1 1/4" wide) or C8TZ-8120938-A (1 1/2" wide). Right/Left is the same.

Drove to every source, looked at the grilles, none was a 1965!
