TAILGATE LOCK
Looking for solutions to lock the tailgate. I have a cap that has a lock. This doesn't prevent someone from opening the tailgate and helping themselves to the contents(this time 2 5 gallon fuel cans). Thought about a hasp on each end of the tailgate but it won't look good. Thought about a solenoid but can't find anything that mounts flush enough on the inside that won't get snagged when unloading. Any other solutions?

what year truck? they list one for my 93 were I to want one for about 70 bucks.

Thanks for the info. They have a listing for a 1988. I guess that it installs on either R or L end side of the tailgate. I'd like to see a few pics of one installed. Definitely cleaner than a hasp.

The left side driver and right side passenger described in the instructions are referring to the tailgate latches into the bed, not the handle location. That's the only solution with a key lock I have ever seen for our trucks. It looks like Zombie made a good find. If you want to see a picture, call them to see if they can help with that. Sandy
