Angry stolen Truck recovered 1994 F250 Barstow CA

My truck was stolen and recovered 26 April 2019 in Barstow CA.
I appreciate all of your support in recovering it.

This is it, im told it now has a broken window, and is likely already in parts

That sucks. You should post this on Facebook in OBS Revolution. That gets a lot of traffic.

I highly suggest looking around dagget, which is only a few miles away. For years it was and probably still is home of the meth head chop shops.

Truck Found 3 hours after reported! Still in 1 piece in a trailer park on Santa Fe Rd. It is a very distinctive looking truck and the only one around here like that. Hard to hide it.
Dumb *** had it parked at his trailer and all my stuff from the truck in his house. He was sitting in the back of the cruiser when I got there. He knew how to start it by jumpering something in the fuse panel.
On the video he was in it only 20 sec before driving off. Will be installing a battery disconnect with key next.

Wow.... It's a shame there's no deterrent anymore for thieves. He'll probably get hours of probation.

Good for you man. Glad it worked out for you besides his stink being in the cab.

Glad to hear you got it back in one piece. Good idea on the battery disconnect, these trucks are stupid easy to hotwire.

Thank God, I saw the start of the thread, said a quick prayer that your truck would be recovered, then scrolled down to see that it had. I hate thieves. Glad it had a happy ending. I use the Club steering wheel lock on my 96 F-150. They make a larger one just for pickups. About $60 but well worth it.

Just an FYI, the club can easily be bypassed and actually make it easier to steal your car. All they have to do is cut through the steering wheel in one spot with a handheld hacksaw and it's off. It takes less than a minute to cut through most steering wheels. Then they can use the club as leverage to make it easier to break the steering wheel lock.

you can get an alarm system with starter disconnect for stupid cheap now a days. the truck will not start unless the alarm is deactivated, so even if they manage to cut the horn/siren wires and bust out the lock, it still ain't gonna start.

I'm the type of guy who wishes it was legal to set up a remote detonation if someone stole my truck.

Thieves are the scum of the earth. Glad to hear you located it without it incurring any significant damage. Would have been a real shame if they tore up such a nice irreplaceable truck.
