Intermittent P0141
96 f150,4.9,5spd
My 96 F150 is having and intermittent check engine light. The truck normally makes short local trips and has the check engine light for a while. On long trips is seems intermittent. For example, yesterday I had a check engine light illuminated for a 200 mile trip. On the way back the same vehicle had no check engine light. I checked it this morning with the code reader and no codes. I just drove it to the Gym, 7 miles, and the check engine light came back. I hooked up the reader and check codes = 1 code, p0141 Described as )2 señor heater circuit bank1 sensor 2)
Does anyone have an idea why I have intermittent check engine code? What is the function of this O2 sensor and how does it affect the performance of the 4.9L? Appreciate your help...
