Sorry if I missed where this was posted somewhere else. Have a 2011 f350 4x4 ccsb. Truck is completely stock. Replaced left front wheel bearing assembly with wheel speed sensor last night due to it making noise. On way home from mechanic's the light that I say is for traction control came on for 30 seconds and went back out. No other traction control or stabiltrac or other messages in center of display. This morning girlfriend took pickup to work with her so mechanic could check it out. No codes came up. On her way back to work, it came on again so she took straight back. It come up steering position sensor. Mechanic has no clue. On her way back to work it went out again. Any suggestions? I will try to post pic of light. Light on left side of dash.
I had the same code intermittently come up when I had a tire size issue. A road hazard ruined one tire and I replaced it with an identical new one. I think as the odd tire was on the rear I’d see the steering angle sensor code.
Think it was just from us replacing the wheel bearing and maybe it took a while for the computer to recognize the new one or maybe while we were turning the wheel from side to side to tighten the nits and studs to hold new bearing on that it got out of range.
We also did relearn the settings on the ecm for the steering position sensor. It is ok now. Really can't say what for sure happened.
Did you manage to find the problem and cause? I have the same issue with my truck and im abiut to start and find the problem.. mine came up right when i statted the truck 2 days after parking it after a 3h drive in a snow storm.. advancetrac repair popped up and the signals arent shutting off on there own anymore..

Replace the sensor, it's a 30 min job. Just pull the wheel and the clock spring.
