So for starters I just had my windshield checked by some installers. It is not leaking. Yesterday it starts raining and I go out and following are dead. Gauges, radio, dome light.
check gauge light is on, vehicle starts.
i dont drive it, put a tarp over it, and put a space heater under the dash for a few hours. Go back outside 3-4 hours later everything is fine.
ive already eliminated the windshield as at fault. What else could be the culprit?
I need to check out the gem module etc for rust/corrosion. However I’ve never done that? Any links to how to’s Etc. any thoughts on any of this would be great. My truck has zero rust as it a central Texas truck.
Start the truck and turn the HVAC controls to vent, the blower on high, and recirculate to off; then close all windows and doors. This will pressurize the cabin so you can now spray around the windshield with water by using a hose or spray bottle. If there are any leaks you will see bubbles at each one.
