Sucks, man... Sorry you're having a bad time with that kit. FWIW, you get new o-rings when you buy the filters, so if you go buy one you'll have what you need (and a spare filter for later as long as you don't mind reusing the o-ring when you change it).
I've been eyeing up those LED conversions from CP as well, but I've not run them. My experience with the bad headlight output is that it's often caused by a combination of things. Inadequate current to the lamps is one (there's a relay mod out there for this). The big one is the yellowing of the plastic in the headlight lenses. It's amazing how big a difference it makes to have clear lenses.
it's not the actual oring that comes with the filter that's missing the bracket has it's own orings as well. Still waiting to hear from them.
Ya I want to do the headlight relay mod first, as well get some new clear lenses
Found the same one on ebay for cheaper. Not a big Amazon purchaser. Also found a ceramic coated set too. Probably do stainless with a wrap on the up and down pipes. When I do this change I'm going the extra mile. Pull the turbo rebuild it and do a upgrade on the compressor wheel. Looking at Batmo Wheel or Wicked Wheel2. Read somewhere where the Batmo increases HP by 100. That seems far fetched where the Wicked Wheel only balances turbo lag. There has got to be a bunch of discussion on these wheels here on FTE. next I'will probably add exhaust braking too. Then the pedestal rebuild and maybe replace. Need more info on the delete.
