Assuming you mean "without" damage... Remove it with the rubber. Don't try to remove it separately. Usually, start at upper corner of windshield and push out, working way around perimeter of windshield. Or cut rubber from inside and push glass out. When installing, install metal trim into rubber before installing on windshield.
