1961/63 front bumper (1964/66 is different-uses 2 bolts per side), 1965 painted steel grille, 1965/66 upper grille panel and parking lamps.

The above (almost impossible to read) is a 1963 only Warranty Plate, as it's the only year that has the body style of the cab stamped on it. 81A is a Regular Standard Cab, not a Uni.

However, if it was assembled November 1963, it would be a 1964. I cannot make out the last 6 digits, but if they begin with 35, it's a 1963 assembled November 1962.

1961/62: Warranty Plate riveted to the inside of the glove box door. 1963/66: Warranty Plate riveted to the left door face below the latch.

Look for the hidden frame VIN .. Warranty Plates are too EZ to change.

350032

so are you saying it does have a 65 grille and turn signals?
and it has a 61-63 front bumper?

the warrenty plate is located on the left door below the latch.

Thanks
Scott

1961 grilles have FORD in the center, the upper grille panel is plain.

1962/64 upper grille panel has FORD chrome letters on it.

1961/64 parking lamps are mounted to the grilles. 1965/66 parking lamps and the FORD letters are located in the upper grille panel.

Grilles can be swapped around from any 1961/66 F100/750, but then you have to deal with the placement of the parking lamps if they're different.

Thanks Bill,

if after all is said and done it sounds like a 63 with a later year 64/66 grille. Correct?

Bill,
Take a close look at that front bumper. At first glance it look like it mounts like a 63 but it's off...something is going on, the bolts are in the wrong place. It has the two bolts high like a 64 - up. The lower bolts do not match the 63 - down 3 pattern. They're in odd places. The ends are squared like 67 up....

I do believe that's a 67-up bumper with a couple of extra holes in it.

The truck is straight axle.
The cab roof has the 64-66 body line line above the windshield.

Srowe,
The door data may be correct. Other things mentioned above match it.

I think you have ....
1964 F100 (manufactured 11/63)
The bumper is 67 up or aftermarket.
The grille is 1965.
Basically it's 64 truck with a 65 grille and a replacement bumper.......... Unless that 64 cab and some 65 sheet metal was placed on a 61 frame.

Impossible!
The right side of the bumper appears to have the 3 bolts in a triangular pattern only used 1961/63. The extra bolt above may have been added for a fog lamp.

Or maybe someone installed bumper guards that were originally used on the C4TZ bumpers (1964/77 & 1978 before serial # AG0,001)

The Warranty Plate BODY code is 81A .. 1963 was the only year that the body style of the cab was listed.

81A is a Conventional Standard Cab, 81B is a Conventional Custom Cab // 66A is a Uni Standard Cab, 66B is a Uni Custom Cab.

The last 6 digits of the VIN are 350032 = 1963 assembled November 1962 .. See pic below.

My bet - it was hit, and then "clipped", the doghouse was replaced with what was found, and what was found was a '65 clip.
Hey, it's been 50 years, **** happens.

Only Flareside pickups had a step (Ford: running board) in this location.

So, is it a short (6 1/2') or long (8') Flareside bed?

1957/72 F100 Flareside with short 6 1/2' bed.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any, none on ebay.

Contact Mar-K (mar-k.com) in OKC, they reproduce Flareside bed parts, may have the boards (steps).

I guessing this question is for the VIN Guru's

I currently have this VIN ID which i verified from the frame, title and door plate to be F10JE350032
and i have a opportunity to purchase a cab and front end off a F350CH260078 for a great price and i think the parts i need will interchange but need to make sure i am correct.

I want to swap the CAB, inner fender wells, radiator support and maybe the bumper.

Please let me know what you think on if these are interchangeable.

Thank You

F350 will have the 45" wheel opening fenders, and the inner fenders will have no place for a battery, as on the F350's, the battery was under passenger side floor of cab. I guess if you're using cab & front clip, it will work, but you will need to get (or fab) a battery tray to hold battery in correct position for access through the floor hatch, and then run battery cables, etc.........
