Better buy?

Looking to get a pre-owned F-250(or 350) with a 6.7L. I have 2 local options and wondering which is the better buy...

Assume both trucks have very similar options.

2012 w/ 58k miles @ $34000
vs
2015 w/ 88k miles @ $32000

This will be a farm work truck and probably not tuned. (I could get into a 6.0 or 6.4 for less money, but seems like 6.7 is a much better engine imo)

Hard to say considering you didn't give much info....Most seem to think the 2015 and newer 6.7's are better choice since they are version gen 2 of the engine.

Basically I'm just looking on input about which engine is the better choice considering the price and miles. I already know either truck would work well for me.

Take the 2015. I wouldn't worry about those extra 30,000 miles if all else is equal.

The 2015 is a gen 2 engine and has a few minor tweaks that make it a better engine.

I'd have to agree, the Gen 2 6.7 in the 15 has the newer turbo and is overall a better engine considering the upgrades. The 12, if it's the original turbo, expect to be replacing it sooner rather than later.

If everything is good with the '15, go with that year.
