As you can see from the posts above, it all depends upon where you are. When driving cross-country this becomes obvious. I've seen major price difference even between cities in the same state.
SW. Pa. here. Land of the highest state road fuel taxes in the nation, coupled some of the worst maintained roads in the nation. Gas has risen to $3.099 a gallon and diesel has dropped to $3.399 in my town. Go 20 miles in any direction and its $.10-20 cheaper per gallon. They claim it's because we're a tourism center and we're right on the Pa turnpike. Such bs!
