Part Identification: PLEASE HELP

Yesterday, I had to replace a temp actuator. Everything came apart without incident and went back together without any force or problems. After all said and done we saw this part laying on the passenger side floor. Possible was previous broken and fell out after taking everything apart. We can't figure for the life of us where this part came from or what it is. Thought maybe from the shifter due to the roller. Maybe something spring loaded. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

It is plastic with a stainless roller. The plastic is broken as if the rest of the plastic is still inside

I'll take a look around the passenger side on Thursday. I can't think of what that part is. It's interesting that it has a ss roller on it.
