So, do you think I'm eligible? 2008 F250 Diesel with no current warranty and 125,000 miles. Of course Ide check with my ford garage and ask them if they would be a mod friendly shop for me if I did buy the warranty. Mods in my sig below.
Depends on your dealer. Ford requires a thorough inspection of the vehicle by a tech to ensure it's currently in good operating condition. They don't want to sell someone a $1500 warranty only to have a claim two weeks later for a $20,000 powertrain. Inspection does cost about $150 I believe.
At least this is what I was told by a rep at Ford, not the dealer. The dealer would probably sell it to you no problem, then deny a claim when you need it.
However, if you buy the plan, they inspected the vehicle with mods then deny a claim, you might have recourse if you can prove the mods were installed at the time of warranty sale/inspection.
I don't think an ESP would have helped you anyway. Most high dollar repairs require the approval and inspection of a field service engineer, and it's pretty easy to tell that you have modified and tuned.
Money spent on an ESP would have been a waste, they would deny any warranty claims on your truck because of the mods.
