I am a traveling nurse and I have a 2006 ford f250 6.0 diesel with 140,000 and im at anyone's mercy at this point. Last November i took the truck to a Ford dealership in Illinois where it was towed after pulling me into oncoming traffic and me giving all i got to pull back the opposite direction. The diesel mechanic found i needed my power steering pump and hose replaced and also my steering gear (red head) . Which truck seemed fine when i left the dealer on a Friday, got 1exit up and made the hard left turn and there again it pulled me back into traffic , took it straight back via backroads too scary to get back on the interstate, they kept for another week could find nothing wrong. I came back the next Tuesday and drove the truck back to nc and almost 100 miles from home i had to be towed the rest of the way , it was 10×worse. Got the truck to my brother who is a engineer and diesel mechanic and after extensive research , he found tie rod ends needing replacing, ball joints, cv joints, universal joints, abs sensors, wheel bearings and hubs , track arm ball joints, new tires, kicked ,cussed and scared to death of .... i also pull a 38 ft travel trailer and mind you i never experience this problem with weight taken off the front end ..... im at anyone's mercy. Its at the dealer as of this morning as i almost hit the concrete median head on . Its now a safety issue , i have contacted Ford motor company but you cannot talk to anyone in the us. Please help
Time to upgrade as the truck needs so much work it is not worth it.
Buy a 2013 and up F250 with either the 6.2 gas motor or the 6.7. You will like the upgrades tremendously.
From what it sound like to me, there is so much worn out on you current truck I would not know what the exact problem is I think it is a combo of many things.
I’m no mechanic and don’t have the knowledge Sensix and Chuck above have, but agree with what they say. If it were my truck, I would just get rid of it because you’re probably going to spend more trying to fix it than what it’s worth (even after it is fixed). There’s also no guarantee that what you do will fix it either, so why throw away your money
This Chuck is going to throw his hat in the ‘time to say goodbye to an old friend’ ring. This has the feel of being one of those long drawn out costly troubleshooting highly frustrating ordeals. The reason I say that is because based on what you’ve said it appears as though a couple of people have looked at it and the issue isn’t readily apparent. It’s a 13 year old vehicle with roughly 50 - 75,000 miles left. Since you have a 6.0 diesel, take a 2015+ 6.7 for a test drive. You’ll be amazed at the improvements that have happened over the last 13 years.
Did you replace all the parts you mentioned in your first post? At 140,000mi. I seriously doubt all those parts were worn out. My advise to you would be to forget about Ford unless you have some warranty left. Find a good local brake and front end shop you can work with and have them look it over.
but I hope with the number of people that worked on it AND the number of parts replaced...
someone would have seen something to point to this scary issue..
not just selling parts.. and getting paid.. with little professional insight...

Your post is not very clear on this information. Are you saying that you already replaced ALL the parts you listed? Or are you saying that all those parts NEED replacing?

You must have something moving..like a cracked frame broken spring perch. Maybe something in the rear... Dont hear about this much because it just doesnt happen that often. That being said look for something weird.. steering wheel and associated parts broke loose. Alignment specs?
