I am a traveling nurse and I have a 2006 ford f250 6.0 diesel with 140,000 and im at anyone's mercy at this point. Last November i took the truck to a Ford dealership in Illinois where it was towed after pulling me into oncoming traffic and me giving all i got to pull back the opposite direction. The diesel mechanic found i needed my power steering pump and hose replaced and also my steering gear (red head) . Which truck seemed fine when i left the dealer on a Friday, got 1exit up and made the hard left turn and there again it pulled me back into traffic , took it straight back via backroads too scary to get back on the interstate, they kept for another week could find nothing wrong. I came back the next Tuesday and drove the truck back to nc and almost 100 miles from home i had to be towed the rest of the way , it was 10×worse. Got the truck to my brother who is a engineer and diesel mechanic and after extensive research , he found tie rod ends needing replacing, ball joints, cv joints, universal joints, abs sensors, wheel bearings and hubs , track arm ball joints, new tires, kicked ,cussed and scared to death of .... i also pull a 38 ft travel trailer and mind you i never experience this problem with weight taken off the front end ..... im at anyone's mercy. Its at the dealer as of this morning as i almost hit the concrete median head on . Its now a safety issue , i have contacted Ford motor company but you cannot talk to anyone in the us. Please help me

Looks like a pretty good start right there. How many miles on the truck? The suggestion to just buy a new truck may not be far off the mark really. Basically the above is replacing the entire front end.
Should of mentioned this too. If your truck needs that much work, do not drive it. Not at all. Not even to run to the corner store. You will end up seriously harming, if not killing, yourself or others. Seriously, at this point, I’m surprised you haven’t lost a whole wheel assembly.
The fact that the first dealership you took it to did not check/ find the bad parts is a travesty. I guess i’m having trouble with your description of whats going on. Is the steering locking up, or does it have a mind of its own? Are you experiencing a wobble or an uncontrolled oscillation? Is the steering wheel jerking out of your hands? You obviously have a high mileage truck if all of those parts are bad. Unfortunately you are going to need to replace EVERYTHING. It is going to be expensive, but it is what it is. Good luck, and do not drive the truck until it is repaired properly. Also, if you are having odd steering issues, check everything out in the rear suspension as well. Trashed bushings in the leafspring eyelets and shackles can cause problems. Also look over the rear leafsprings and make sure that the centering pin on the leaves has not sheared off, allowing the rear diff. to shift in certain scenarios. Ie: going into, and coming out of turns. If you havent rotated your tires lately look at the rear ones and see if they have any odd wear patterns. I am assuming with so many bad parts in the front end, that the front tires are trashed.
Looks like it needs some maintenance. Some people arent able to handle routine maintenance and there is nothing wrong with that... but you will need to buy a new vehicle more often.
13 year old truck, with 140k miles? You called Ford? Why? Trucks wear out, they need maintenance, etc. That isn't Ford's problem or worry. Take it to a suspension shop. Most people in here won't take their truck to Ford even for a warranty issue.

Naw man, nothing like that.
The vehicle is dangerous because of lacking maintenance it seems like. I thought this initial post was because she was looking to buy a new one. Its not, and its not Fords fault.
A 13 year old higher mileage truck that is used to pull a 38ft travel trailer is gonna need some routine maintenance. I practically rebuilt my suspension, put in new body mounts, and serviced the wheel bearings on my 2011 gasser at 138k miles because it was getting worn out. Its not that unusual and its not Fords fault.
I would advise the lady to fix the front end up and catch up on any deferred maintenance. I would suggest getting a newer truck because some of the items mentioned sounds like the needed maintenance may be too much to handle (and there is nothing wrong woth that)
