Interested to see the next GOT tonight. Not many of them left. We’ll cancel HBO when it’s done. I wonder how many others do the same?
I think we may cancel too. Last nights episode was a breather from last weeks epic battle, and what promises to be an even bigger next battle. Did you notice the Starbucks Cup easter egg? We did not, but it's all over the news this morning. Will have a couple more chances to catch it during this week.
We're looking forward to the Deadwood movie, coming in July IIRC. But I think we will try switching over to HBO on demand, and just catch the cream.
Along those lines Bill, the other night I was shooting Kimmel and the Kaleesi chick was on. She said to “find the biggest TV you can find for episode 5”.
Thanks. It is a '05 Yamaha V-star 1100. Cruiser weight bike. Biggest thing I've ever ridden, by a wide margin, and I haven't ridden anything more than around the block test rides in about 35 years. So we can say there is a steep learning curve. Kept my M1 license up all these years, so I was good to go there.
Took the bike to a shop this morning and I probably won't see it for a couple of weeks. I am pretty sure it needs carb cleaning, and has a pretty bad bog at low throttle, then above 1/4 throttle wants to scream away at ***** to the wall speed. Which didn't help the learning curve. But I do feel that I've come a long way in a couple of days practice. Being a novice rider, I felt it was important to get the pros to go over all the mechanical things that I might not have the experience to notice.
Why the hell do I need a motorcycle at this point in life? Well, I probably don't, but I had an itch that needed to be scratched. I blame the DMV. I went a few weeks ago to get my DL upgraded to the Real ID thing. It should have been a simple matter of proving that me, myself, and I were in fact the same person, and that I actually had the misfortune of living in Kalifornia. But for whatever reason, which wasn't explained to me, they made me take the C1 and M1 tests. I think I came out of there feeling enfranchised on the idea of putting that M1 to good use. Gave my wife every chance to put her foot down on the idea, but she wasn't going to be the one to lay down the rules. Gotta love that in a woman.
Pop asked if she would ride. She won't ever pilot a bike. But when we had bikes in the past she was willing to ride tandem with me. I think she will again, but for now I need to work on my skills solo.
It feels like a rushed ending to GOT, why not take more time and close it realistically? Maybe expenses got too high?
Did you watch it yet? If not I will avoid spoilers. I guess there was an errant water bottle this time. I'll have to go back and see if I can pick that up. Got it on the DVR, so no chance for HBO to edit it out. Hard to believe it was an editing mistake, twice.
I agree it felt a little contrived as a final season. I do think they wrap up the story at the end, not leaving us hanging without answers. Not too many anyway.
