So I was talking to a salesman at Koons Ford in Baltimore a couple months ago about special ordering a truck. Was just getting prices and told him I would get ahold of him when I was ready. A couple days ago I emailed him and said I think I may be ready to place that order but wasn’t 100% sure and wanted some final numbers. (Now have a $2500 pco in hand). To my surprise he says, well, your truck is actually here! I thought oh crap not what I was expecting lol I have a 2016 Ford F-150 that I now have to try to sell in a couple days before I make a trip to Baltimore. Not a bad problem to have I suppose. The deal is amazing and I don’t want to let go of the pco. Just thought I’d share this story with you all. I have attached the window sticker of my special ordered truck. Let me know what you all think!
Nice. So he special ordered the truck on his own without your commitment?
yeah he said he was going to order it regardless that way he had it when I was ready and didn’t have to wait another 8 weeks for the order to show up. I’ll be making the trip Friday to pick it up.

Mine did also. I told him the final build is what I want, I just want to run it by the wife and I'll call you in the am. I called to say let's do it and he said he had already ordered it. He said that it comes with a green sticker and I get first shot at it.
Gonna be a beaut! If you don't mind me asking, what kind of final deal did you get with the PCO?
After taxes and fees I’m at $46,800 OTD. It was right at $43k before taxes and fees and pco. That OTD price is about 4K cheaper than any local dealer was pricing me before taxes. Well worth a 6 hour trip to Baltimore.

What was your msrp? Nevermind, looked at your window sticker. Couldnt figure out how to delete my post.
So including all rebates and pco it was $40,500 plus ttl?
Wow, thats a great deal, especially for an order. The best Ive been able to find is a total of 10k off on an order with all rebates and pco, thats on a $72k build.

I don’t where you’re located but you may definitely consider Koons Ford. I heard about the through this forum and there is no haggling at all they just give you the best price. Definitely recommend. Although 10k off is pretty good too considering what most people pay
My dealer does that often, if they feel it will sell on lot. They did it on my current truck but I changed a few things. They used a priority order for second truck, end result they had two 75k + trucks with different interior colors for me to choose from.
I bought my truck at Koons here in Falls Church. Whoever orders trucks for Koons' dealerships knows what they are doing. They order trucks all of the time nearly exactly how I would do it any day of the week. The best part is you get a screamin' deal b/c they are already on the lot.
Awesome that they did that for you and you're able to get the new truck so quickly with the PCO. I bought my truck last year on the $3k PCO as a leftover and saved a bunch of cash.
