It's not really that simple, no. The tail housing is integral to the case, so if you want to go 4x4, you'll need a divorced transfer case or to find a 4x4 E4OD. I'd go for the transmission swap as is all bolts up then. The 4x4 trans isn't impossible to find, and it keeps it relatively simple. Then youc an run the same BW 4407 transfer case as the F350, and bolt everything right up. Heck I had everything you would have needed to make the swap a week ago, but I hear delivery to the "State of Delusion" in which you live is expensive anyway...

oh ok. Thanks for the info. Lol ive only owned the truck for 5 days now.
Man I love threads like these. really nice job on the work done so far. I like the truck a lot and look forward to what you do with it! Let me know if you want to trade for the nice SD I have for sale.
Nice Job on the truck man and crazy quick work too!!!
I am kinda liking the black B-Pillar idea. I may steal it and try it out once the weather warms up around here.
I am also thinking about putting satin black on my hood to reduce the glare, just not sure on that one.

That was my thought as well on the pillars, for some reason or anothrr makes it look like the 17+ f150-f350 cab, but in a good way.
That truck pictured is also 4x4. My dually is a five speed and 2x4. If E4OD, I would say probably 350lbs with converter and full of ATF. I rebuilt my own ZF, it is about 185lb with fluid. Yes, the full clutch assembly is about 90lbs. I also have stock steel wheels (gross) and 245/75R16s versus the 215/85R16s. Yours look like 285/75R16 area and cast aluminum wheels.
My math was gross vehicle weight (10k) minus payload (4655lbs per Ford's book for mine) equals curb weight. These things are tin cans. My dead 6.4 CCLB 4x4 was a fully optioned Lariat with glass roof and dual alts, that was in the upper 8s, like 8800 I seem to recall for some reason. My pal's '89 F150 RCLB 302/AOD/3.55:1 is identical to mine but I have an ECSB and his is 300lbs less than mine at 4100lbs.
 I could easily be wrong, it would not be the first time and will not be the last.
