V10 FUEL PUMP CHANGE

'02 Ex with 6.8L had the fuel pump head south, replaced with an import pump and ran fine for a few days. Now I am experiencing sporadic difficulty starting. Also, does the '02 have a fuel pump relay, does not show in the owner's manual? Any advice appreciated, Thanks

Yes it does have a fuel pump relay but you're not going to like where Ford put it The quickest way to tell if the relay is sending power to your pump is on the passenger side foot well where the inertia switch is located. Pull off the panel and look for the Pink wire

coming out of it and poke a voltmeter in the socket to see if you have 14 volts, or close to it when you are cranking the starter.

Inertia switch in the passenger kick panel.
