2002 6.8L V10 Question

I have been looking for a place to add a second battery in the engine bay of my 2002 V10, and because I know that the 7.3L Diesels have a second battery on the drivers side in the front of the engine bay, I went looking to see what is currently there. I found what I think is a carbon filter canister that takes fumes from the gas tank and breaks up gas tank vacuum. Just under that canister is a perfect place for a second battery, so my question to the gallery here is can this canister be removed or relocated to free this area up for a second battery?

I want to eventually do this as well to have a "house" battery while I am camping. I recall a few people completing this, here are some examples:

Oh there we go, those example links were pretty handy. Gives me a couple of ideas on where to move that canister. I wonder where I can order the 1/2" fuel line because my existing line is starting to crumble on the outside. Thanks for sharing those links. I will take some pics on how and where I move my charcoal canister and install the battery.
