And here I’ve waited 8 years for you to post something earthshattering. Such a letdown. But at least your final post was your first new thread. Nice job champ.
Ha Ha hope you enjoy all of the misery that comes with a CTD 2500 - the Enterprise Rent a Car that the RAM dealer used knew me on a first name basis. And I had 2 in a row 2012 and a 2014 Laramie - both were terrible. Funny the Grand Cherokee eco diesel has been pretty much trouble free.
Love our F250 one issue in 19K miles where the Satellite radio module when south. Was fixed the next day,,,, Unlike the RAM where it took days to get them fixed.
Good F250
BAD - RAM 2500
Make sure you buy the extended warranty with rental coverage.....
Looks like this guy accomplished what he set out to do. And was to get all of you to comment on his hit and run post. These folks will go away if we don’t comment on crap like this.
As much as I’m PO’ED at the lack of interior improvement on the 2020 Ford vs. the Ram, or the wait because of lack of availability until November, I could never keep my lunch down knowing I own a Ram truck. The look literally makes me ill.
That’s just me..
Rode in a coworker's $70k Fiat Bighorn 1500 to go to lunch yesterday. Interior appointments are similar to my F350 XLT. I would have expected a Bighorn to be at least comparable to a Lariat. Capability doesn't even come close to that of my 1 ton diesel that didn't cost me near as much. Baaaaaa……..
There's no such thing as a $70k RAM 1500 BigHorn...and if the interior appointments reminded you of an XLT...that's because Big Horn and XLT are competing trims. Allow me to educate:
Ford...................RAM
XL......................Tradesman
XLT....................Big Horn
Lariat.................Laramie
King Ranch.......Laramie Longhorn
Platinum............Limited
Limited..............Tungsten
Hope you live by the dealer-service dept, and like wasting vacation while that sheep is in the shop..
Funny you mentioned living by a dealer. My living room window looks out to the biggest Ford dealers parking lot across a 4 lane street. All I see are Superduties lining up in the morning to get into the service department. Lol
I have owned an 2008 and 2012 Ram 2500 and they were good trucks. The 2008 was very uncomfortable so I traded it for the 2012 to get the upgraded seats and full crew cab size cabin. I never really had any problems with the trucks besides the normal wear and tear, ball joints, breaks, etc. my 2018 F350 Limited has been in the shop 3 times for numerous little stuff like the no grease in trailer plug, cracked push start button, massage seats not responding from sync screen, power mirror not adjusting in or down, water in door sill etc. Lots of little stuff that would add up like crazy. Most of the issues I have had with the Ford have been brought up on numerous threads. You think Ford would actually make changes on the production line to address these issues but they don’t. 2017-2019s are all having the same common issues. Im shocked at how much Ford guys will put up with to stay a die hard Ford guy. I’m impartial as I dont really have brand loyalty. I buy, in my opinion, the best truck on the market at the time I need to buy one. Ford in September 2018 was the leader in technology and had way more options than anyone else. Now with the 2019 Ram HD coming out with all the same features, I would have a tough decision to make if I needed a new truck. Rams fit, finish and quality of parts in my experience has been way above what Ford offers. My damn power inverter won’t charge certain electronics because it is a modified square wave.... basically means, it puts out lots of power but not clean consistent power so compatibility can be an issue. CHEAP but rated high. This is not quality. Ever buy the 1000 watt surround sound in a box vs a 300watt high current name brand surround sound? No comparison. High output doesn’t make it better. Ok enough rant. Lol
OP. Let us know how you like the Dodge. I’m open to all reviews. Curious to see the 19 Ram vs 20 SD you tube videos when they start rolling out. Enjoy.

Oil Changes, make ready..yup I can see the line adding up....
I get that this is a Ford forum and I am a die hard Ford guy, but dang you guys are harsh.
Anywho, I fail to see why you'd completely change brands if you're loyal and familiar with one just because you didn't get a discount. I shop different dealers if one doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy, not buy a different truck.
I didn't get a discount on the parts I used to build my 69 F250, but I didn't sell it and buy a Honda...
