Why in the world would ford deny you the commercial discount?

Rode in a coworker's $70k Fiat Bighorn 1500 to go to lunch yesterday. Interior appointments are similar to my F350 XLT. I would have expected a Bighorn to be at least comparable to a Lariat. Capability doesn't even come close to that of my 1 ton diesel that didn't cost me near as much. Baaaaaa……..

My last Ram was 10-11 years ago...RAM 1500. Liked the truck until it was 1k out of warranty and the steering box got so loose it was like steering one of those carnival bumper cars. Whole front end felt loose. Chrysler said too bad! Drove the truck until it was about 97k with loose steering and by then it was burning a quart of oil every thousand miles. Not a great experience with Chrysler...havent been a fan of their styling in many years.

Why is a 1500 interior being compared with a Super Duty interior? I wouldn’t pay 70,000 for any 1500 or 150 for that matter.

I'm just saying, he says it was $70k, my 1 ton diesel was quite a bit less. If I spent $70k, I would expect a lot more than what he got.

I've bought and driven Chevy's my entire life, but I can't stomach the new HD's ... I'll be ordering a new super duty in a couple months ..

So Ford's up one now ..

Sorry to hear that you didn’t get satisfaction on your commercial discount application. Maybe your situation doesn’t meet the commercial requirements anymore, maybe someone on Ford’s side screwed up. Another member on here said his application process was seamless and it’s not much of a discount. If I were you and I wanted a Ford, I would have fixed the application problem. But that’s me.

Even though ford credit rejected you ,if I’m mistaken ....RAM uses Ally financial. You can use Ally with Ford. You just forfeit the $500 or whatever but ally’s rate % is usually so good you save well more then $500 in the long run

Last time I bought a Ram/Dodge was 2004. Last time.
Babied that truck. Meticulous maintenance. All records kept too
Less than 400 miles past the power train warranty the motor died. Nothing dramatic going on unless you consider waiting at a stop light dramatic . Pulled out at Green light and never made it to the center of the intersection . 😐
Dealer would do NOTHING for me. Sucks to be you pal. Thanks Ram/Dodge whoever you are- never again.
