Anyone know where I can get FORD F500 side emblems? Everywhere I look I see F100 but no F500
I am missing an F. Found an F in the ashtray but it does not match the style of lettering. If I could just find an F that matches, I think I can reuse these.
Thinking about these now because if I need to get new ones, I’m sure the post won’t line up that goes through the hood and hold emblem on so I will need to patch the holes closed that are there before painting and drill new ones after painting
Good luck! John is right. You will have to find good used ones. But the good news is your chances of finding some are double than a guy looking for 55 or 56 F500 emblems. Your emblems were used in 1953 and 1954.
You are also missing the dot that goes between the F and the 500. But I bought just dots from Mid-Fifty. Hopefully they will sell you dots... but you gotta ask.
I don't understand why you will have to make new holes.
There is a place in Nebraska that has a lot of good used parts called Terry's F-100's I would call them.
Dunno where you located, last year there was a guy at the Portland swap meet with several tables covered in nothing but various hood emblems, script.
if anybody would have it, it would be him.
I looked through my stuff and I only have F600 no 500
i just looked on eBay and there is a pair, I'm very surprised, $80 for something that's not being reproduced, about right
I used my 3D designed software for a fella that wanted a set of F-350 emblems. I posted the file onto Shapeways. You can see those here: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/connecticutcalvin?li=pb
I recall your truck being a '53. Yes? Other year? I can design copies and offer them for sale on Shapeways too of course. They're not cheap, but there's no markup there. Actually, I have to look to see if there are alternative printing media options now since I've posted those.
I have a hood from a '53 with F-500 emblems out back. If they match yours, you can have them. Any pitting in the pot metal can be filled in nicely with aluminum brazing rods and then they can be shipped out to be re-chromed. I'll go check that hood and see if I can compare those emblems to yours.
EDIT-I was thinking of printing each emblem that is not available today and then cold casting them and then have them chromed for those who need them. Does anyone think there's a market for emblems that are not currently available?
One side of my spare hood has the emblem. There's a dot between the "F" and the "5" however...I don't see them on yours. Anyway, I'm very tempted to pop the emblem off on this spare hood, reproduce a 3D model of it, 3D print it and then cold cast it. If it comes out good enough, you can easily paint the emblem a nice silver color instead of chroming it. The cold cast media is a concoction of two-part epoxy and iron powder. It is rock solid once cured. Regardless, you can have my emblem if you want it.
Calvin, all 53-54 emblems had the dot. The dot has its own singular mounting post, so if that post broke or rusted off the dot went missing.
About your question, is there a market for hood emblems not reproduced now? Yes. Will you sell a lot? Not as many as the repop houses sell F100 emblems.
I for one would buy a pair of 55 F350 emblems for $100 or less like the 56 sample on that web page. The problem is there are so many variables... You got 53-54 F250,350,500,600,700, etc emblems and the same number for 55 and the same number of series for 56.
Thanks Abe. Yes there are sure a lot of emblems! I already have the F-350 emblem designed. I might as well attempt a cold casting on that one to make sure it turns out alright since it’s pretty much ready to go. I’m a bit short on time right now so I’ll shoot for completing this in a few weeks. I’ll report back.

Calvin, if the F-350 emblem you are talking about is the one on your website, that is a 1956 emblem. The 55 emblem looks like this. Here are mine that are on my truck now.
