58 F100 emblems again

I have looked just about every place possible and search this site and ever other one that I can find and nobody knows where to find the F100 that goes with the arrow emblem on the side of the hood on the 58. If you can point me to a site that has them and be sure because none of the usual parts catalogs have them or if you know of somebody that is getting rid of some. I am not too worried about the condition because they are going on my beat up daily driver but I love the truck and cant stand that the arrow is there without the F100. Thanks in advance and seeing that this is my first post I look forward to reading your replies to this and all other topics.
Regards,
Cbass

Welcome to FTE

B8C16720A .. Right Hood Side Emblem / Obsolete

B8C16721A .. Left Hood Side Emblem / Obsolete

Fits: 1958 F100.

I know where a pair of these emblems are, a local Ford obsolete store has them NOS (New, Old Stock).

I'll be going there, prolly on the 15th of June (preceding the F100 Western Nationals Truck Show on June 20th), will let you know.

btw: The same place has a NOS pair for 1959 F100's.

The owner has no clue about part numbers for these "newer" trucks, doesn't even know what these emblems look like...so calling him won't help a bit.

The emblems are in a glass case, with only a price tag on them.

This place mainly sells Model A and 1932/48 parts.

It's not just your year, they don't reproduce 1957-62 side hood emblems. The 1957-60trucks really didn't get real popular until the last couple of years. Now people need parts and the antique parts dealers are way behind on getting them made. Some of them will probably never be made due to lack of requests or the fact that a certain part may only fit one year. Just have to find good used stuff when you can.

Uh...some new emblems can be found...all one needs to know is....where to look.

Y'all repop the 1966 fender emblems, but a coupla miles away from me is a local Ford obsolete parts store that not only has NOS 1958 & 1959 emblems, but NOS 1965 F100 & F250 Twin-I-Beam emblems as well and a lotta other stuff no one repops.

If you ever walked into the Big Dummies storage garage...you'd prolly suffer apoplexy!

The Dummy has bought out over 300 Ford Dealers stocks of obsolete parts...and is in no hurry to sell any of it.

Thought I would ask again if anybody has seen the 58 emblems anywhere that would part with them during daylight hours (although I might be willing to do a night mission). Seriously I only need the F-100 inlay that goes to these emblems it is the 4 inch part not the whole arrow, I already have the arrow portion.
Thanks

I got mine on ebay, they show up periodically, but you have to watch for them. To my knowledge no one makes replacements yet.

Andrew and anybody else that may have seen one and not realized it, this is what I am looking for. Or more specificly the F-100 portion of this photo, if you look really close you can see that it is not actually part of the arrow. Thanks

Andrew- That is what I have on mine as well and what is in the picture above. We are missing the same part, the F-100 that goes where the two holes. I guess now I have to hope you find two sets of those later this month.
Good luck

Andrew,
I am hopeful that you can find multiples of these, the one on my truck is exactly like the photo of yours. the picture I have is from another member and I think the sizing is off on the photo. So thanks again and look forward to hearing if you find them.
later

58 hood emblem

restoring my first ride. 58 styleside. I drove it from 79 til 83 and now it's time for my boy to have fun. I saw your inquiry @ the "jet" on the hood and now I know what it's missing.(the f100). I have the other chrome but couldn't figure out what went there, thanks. However, I'm like you, I don't know where to get them. Good luck!

The F100 section may be removable, but Ford only sold the emblem as a ONE piece assembly.

Try here: earlyfordstore.com located in San Dimas CA. He had some of these emblems NOS the last time I was there.

See post #2 for the part numbers.
