I have spent last three hours looking for a duplicate issue and have not found it. I am converting the headlights on my 2002 F350 to 2005 headlights. New Header panel, aftermarket headlamp housings and pigtail adapters.
Everything lights fine. The issue is low beams are extremely dim, and the high bean indicator stays lit all the time. It has daytime running light option. I have done this swap
to two other super dutys without a hitch.
Does anyone have both year headlight wiring diagrams, and has anyone else encountered this issue. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I had this same problem when I did mine. Turned out that the adapter I used was wired backwards. I don't remember off the top of my head what the color of the wires are, but somewhere I posted about my swap and the resulting discovery. You can use a test light and make sure that power is going to the terminal you expect when on low or high beams and figure it out.
Went back and found my notes from my conversion. High beam and ground was swapped on the harness I had. Once I swapped those to the correct locations, everything was fine.
