So I've done a little reading and I think I'm lost on it but my 2015 f250 6.7 is leaking fuel on the drivers side, appears to be mid engine but it's hard to see .I had read somewhere that someone had a problem with the injector hold downs. It looks plausible but I'll take more advice as I don't have much diesel experience but can wrench when I need to ..i was able to see it a little wet around those on the middle 2 cylinder on driver side ..it makes sense after being underneath and watching it come down. What am I getting into? Can a shade tree do it or more for a no kidding diesel mechanic? Am I in the right direction? It's tough to see on it but that's my best guess .Any help is greatly appreciated
I posted this in another thread. Diesel Mechanic at the dealership I take my 250 to said they’ve seen a bunch of cracked and broken clips on the engine fuel filter. He mentioned that there is likely to be a recall on them soon. I would take it to Ford and have them check
So with a better light and the info above i don't think injector or hold down . its puddling right under the pressure switch mentioned above but not coming from there ..i tend to think it's the secondary filter?
Carefully pull the two lines and remove the filter to inspect the filter housing. The lines will drip some so have a towel ready so you don't complicate narrowing down the fuel leak. If it's good, once completely reconnecting and latching (you don't want those lines leaking while accelerating!), go through the air purge process.
There is a small bolt that clamps the filter in place (at least on my 2011 there is). Once that's loosened, turn the filter housing so it can be removed (there is a hook on the bottom). None of this requires force.
Thanks all for the education. It was the engine mounted filter. I didn't understand how it was all put together until I took it apart...makes perfect sense now. And I really appreciate no one hating on this newbie. Seen that on too many forums. Admittedly, it's been over a decade since I really turned 🔧 on cars, had a few quick fox bodies before I had kids. Once again, it's really appreciated.

This is en entirely different group of guys and gals that are here to help and not bash. That's why this is my only diesel forum that I visit regularly. I agree, on some of the others it is like sharks circling in the waters. I have no time for that.
