Thanks, I was thinking of switching to state farm and I also have my medicare supplement with AARP which I like. Allstate just sucks in Florida, they are always pulling some gimich to raise your insurance on my cars and house. I had to pay a inspector to check how many nails my shingles had, I hired a guy the recommended and they didn't like what he found and wanted me to hire another guy. I made them pay for the re-inspection and it passed also.
Thanks again for all the great advice.

Hi all, When I talked to Hagerty several years ago I asked if running to the store and such was covered and was told no problem. They asked how many miles I would average, and the only thing that was made very clear was that the truck would be garaged at home when not in use. As far as them paying out my loss during last years fire. They emailed me B4 I ever contacted them to let me know they were there for me and to just let them know. They had a full payout check to me for $20,000 that was our agreed value, very, very quickly, with nothing but a photo of the my property. I have nothing but praise for everyone I have ever dealt with at Hagerty. Just my experience with them, and I found there rates very fair to. Unfortunately I had to put the check toward a new daily driver and not another F1.
I have my truck with Hagerty. No complaints of any kind. I have never used them for claims. What others said on going to shows and keeping in spirit of the hobby.
I currently use a local company called Erie insurance. Very cheap plan, something like 19 a month. The only thing for mine is they said they wouldn't put collision on it until it was "painted".
Thanks Guys I guess I was miss informed about Hagerty and thanks Gicknordon for your info and all other info. I will make some calls and get some prices.
Thanks again for all the great info

Since insurance is regulated by the states, be aware that the experience of others may not apply to you.
Had Hagerty insurance in Colorado for my F1 because State Farm denied coverage. Snowbirding in Arizona and switched to State Farm with same stated value and cheaper coverage. NOTE: State Farm does not restrict where, when or what events I attend. Only asked for average millage per year.

A little off topic but, they've been finding out that the "galvanized" shingle nails are not holding up, rusting in FL and other states.
In Florida everything rust really bad especially if you live next to the coast. I haven't heard that, they probably are coming out of china. It's like the cars and trucks in the 70's.
48 Steel State farm is one of the ones that I'm checking out.
Thanks

I`m glad to hear that Hagerty treated you well Jim, you`ve had a lot more than your fair share of grief. A couple of yrs ago I switched to Hagerty, I haven`t had claims to deal with.
