Big Red just found his forever home.

Hi all!
I've owned many vehicles, but only one for 13 years. 1956 F100.
I cherished that beauty and did it right. Due to circumstance beyond my control, I had to part with my companion.
Ever since, I have been waiting for its equal, to feel that joy again.

My wishes have been answered and I feel blessed.
Just bought an old fire truck. 1956 F600... Almost rust free. Get this...
9400 frickin miles on the odometer!
Blessed, as I said. Pictures to follow.

Welcome to the board!!
Awesome truck. Yea, sometimes you get lucky with firetrucks and they haven't seen much action. Very cool, you're going to have fun with it

I bought the truck from a fellow in Nanaimo. I believe he brought the beast over from Vancouver.
The Vancouver ad must have been a while ago. I'll post more pictures when I get time.
Was thinking about converting to a tilt deck, then realized that everyone loves a parade !
It's such a rare truck I'll keep it pretty much stock.
Going with checker plate al for the bed and tubs.. Needed a truck for dump runs etc... lol
Will likely restore the pump...get it working.
WOO HOO! Many late nights to come...

Nice find. Might be amazed at how that would polish up. Enlist a scout troop.
