Build Date
I have an 87 351W from an F250 and i saw that there while i was looking to order a rebuild kit some thing changed during 87 the motor came from a junkyard and is a factory 4bbl H.O. i saw the numbers n the fromt of the timing cover

There is a 4 character code under the casting number. I at one time knew what you where asking but for the life of me cannot remember. Well i know that in 87 some trucks where carbed and some where efi obviously you have carbed. Maybe I will think of what it was. If you get the date code mentioned I can tell you or someone else can when it was made month wise. there are no differences in the blocks as far as rebuild kits go as you have the one piece rear main that came out in early 80's, well if I come up with the difference I will repost.
